01. About me
I'm Emmanuel Kofi Danquah — a backend engineer who makes AI systems work in production. Seven years building software, including 3+ years as the sole engineer behind Mosabi, a fintech-edtech platform, where I owned everything from the data model to production operations. Along the way I've delivered national government systems in Sierra Leone and shipped AI inference pipelines processing 1,000+ images per run.
I'm currently pursuing an MSc in Computer Science (AI specialisation) at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest on a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship, while continuing to ship backend and AI systems on contract.
02. How I work
Systems over syntax: I care about why a system is shaped the way it is, not just whether it runs — what happens when a worker dies mid-job, how a schema holds up under load, where the failure modes hide.
AI-native, but critical: I work with Claude, Copilot and Cursor daily — and I review, question, and often rewrite what they produce. AI tooling raises my throughput; it doesn't replace my judgment.
Say no by default: No skill goes on my profile that I can't defend for an hour in an interview. Depth over breadth is a deliberate operating principle, not an accident.
03. Beyond the keyboard
Away from work, I'm a problem-solver by temperament — puzzles, strategy, and competitive gaming are how I unwind, and they keep the analytical muscles sharp. I also invest in continuous learning: the field moves fast, and staying at the frontier of AI systems engineering is part of the job description I've written for myself.
